What is this 3D Engineer site about?

The first items on 3DEngr were tutorials for the CSWP Exam (Certified Solidworks Professional). Over time the topics and focus have evolved into other areas: Engineering, Design, New Product Development, & Marketing. These components together have helped to create some amazing products and innovations.

If you have any suggestions or recommendations please feel free to leave a comment or email us. Would you like to be a guest author for 3D Engineer? Contact us.

    Why “Engr”?

ENGR was the course code used for engineering courses.

3DEngr.com reaches engineers, designers, and professionals interested in a number of niche categories including Computer Aided Design software, 3D Modeling, 3D Printing, Lenticular Services, Software  training, Engineering technology, and more.

From time to time advertisements, affiliates, and sponsored posts may appear on this blog (that’s why there is an “advertising” section above!). Advertisements are noted as such. 3Dengr.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. If this site is helpful to you please support us by just clicking through an Amazon image ad the next time you buy the best 3D printer or supplies for you after you’ve done your research. Our site will earn a small percentage of the sale on Amazon when it comes from our site. It’s how the associate program works and we appreciate your support of the site!

Companies occasionally provide demo and reviewer copies of software, access to conferences, or access to employees. When applicable to a post these will be noted. A few specifics to call out:

Solidworks Corp provided access to Solidworks World 2010 as a contest entry prize. Some related posts are on the site.

Solidworks Corp. has provided a copy of Solidworks 2009, many related posts exist.

Siemens Corp. has provided a demo and review copy of Solid Edge ST5 and hands on training sessions.
I am thankful for this access and contributions however all material written for the site is done so from as unbiased a perspective as possible.
